Try Boots Indoors: Always try on boots indoors on a clean, smooth, or carpeted floor. Boots that show signs of outdoor wear or scuffs cannot be accepted for return.
Wear the Right Socks: For the most accurate fit, try your boots on with the type and thickness of socks you plan to wear.
Use the Right Technique: When putting on your boots, sit down for ease. You should hear a soft “PLOP” sound as your foot settles into the boot. Once in, stand up to assess the fit.
Positioning the Foot: Ensure the ball of your foot aligns with the widest part of the boot’s outsole. As you stand, check that the arch of your foot matches the arch of the boot. Your toes should gently touch the leather.
Check the Instep Fit: To test the fit across the instep, gently pinch the leather between your thumb and index finger, then rub your thumb along the instep. If the boot is too loose, a large wrinkle will appear. A slight wrinkle indicates a proper fit.
Heel Slippage: Some slight heel slippage is normal initially. With a few wears and as the boot flexes, most of the slippage will disappear, offering a snug and comfortable fit.
