"I already own the MILWAUKEE LEATHER BOOTS in brown and black cherry, and I'm completely satisfied with them. I also own several other pairs of Dan Post Boots in ostrich and lizard skin, and I'm satisfied with them as well. All of the Dan Post boots that I own were made in Mexico, but they are finely crafted. I recently ordered the black MILWAUKEE LEATHER BOOTS and when I received them, I noticed that they had a different fit and finish to them. I discovered the marking inside the boot shaft indicated that they were made in India. I returned them as I was not satisfied with the fit and finish. I asked the customer care service if I could get a pair made in Mexico like my others. They could not guarantee that I would. I re-ordered the boots and received a new pair which were made in Mexico, and I'm satisfied with them. I was surprised that Dan Post is using boots manufactured in India."

- I purchased a pair of Dan Post Mens Milwaukee Embroidered Narrow Round Toe Casual Boots Mid Calf in BAY APACHE. What is the best way to care for these so that the leather stays moist but it does not darken? I don't want them to have a monotone dark brown look.
- Hi Bobby, please see below for boot care instructions: Smooth Finished: (Saddle Brand, Hand Painted, Mignon, Brush Off) Remove the dust and dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. While the boots are still damp, apply a light coat of quality leather conditioner. Avoid heavy coats of conditioner because it clogs the leather’s pores and cannot be absorbed. If you prefer sheen on your boots, apply a thin coat of cream polish (matching color for darker boot and a neutral color for lighter colored boots). Let the polish dry and brush off the excess with a soft cloth. For water protection, light coats of a non-silicone stain and water protector can be applied. Calf leather is much thinner that cowhide, however it can be cared for the same. We do recommend it be on a more regular basis.
