My Favorite Cowboy Approved, with a Caveat

I'm going to preface all of my reviews by saying I've purchased several pairs of boots from various Dan Post lines this year (I have a nerve issue with my feet and continue to seek the most accommodating fit.) I will also mention that Dan Post (ostensibly) offers $10 back on your purchase for leaving a review. The Topeka is my favorite Cowboy Approved style. It's a gorgeous boot, solidly built, and should stand up to working conditions. Outsole is hard rubber, suitable for harsher environments and should hold up to road salt. Stockman heels are comfortable to walk on for extended periods. They are rather hard and are fairly loud on hard surfaces. Removable insole is my favorite Laredo style, a foam rubber with gel pads. Shaft is fairly rigid while still having some give to it, which I like. The shoulder leather upper is beautiful and tough, however it is quite rigid and not very forgiving for an upper, and can be uncomfortable, especially if your boots tend to fit more on the snug side. Unlike more pliable leathers it doesn't seem particularly interested in molding to your foot at all. These boots are made in India.
