I'm going to preface all of my reviews by saying I've purchased several pairs of boots from various Dan Post lines this year (I have a nerve issue with my feet and continue to seek the most accommodating fit.) I will also mention that Dan Post (ostensibly) offers $10 back on your purchase for leaving a review. While I usually lean more toward working-style boots, I picked up a pair of these just because they looked really cool. They do, in fact, look really cool. Soles are rubber and should hold up decently well to adverse environments, at least for a fashion boot. Heels are 2 1/4 inch, and can get a little old after wearing them for extended periods. Heels are a fairly hard rubber, and the soles are smooth, making these boots fairly noisy to walk in. I could do without the constant clump-slap everywhere I go, to be honest. Insoles aren't removable, but I actually really like this style. Quite comfortable and has a bit of grip to it to help prevent foot sliding., Leather is decent quality, fairly rigid, as opposed to a lot of fashion boots that use very thin, soft, leather that tends to stretch too much over time.. Both upper and shaft are leather. Snip toe means you might need to size up if your toes normally sit close to the end of the boot. Did I mention they look really cool? These boots are made in India.
